Weobley God's Acre
Location: Herefordshire

The group have previously had funding for phase 1 of their project, which was to survey and develop a management plan for the churchyard, for which they received a grant of £8,962. They plan to repair sections of the ancient dry stone churchyard wall and record any archaeological evidence that the restoration uncovers.

The group also want to undertake some maintenance work to re-instate some of the heritage wildflower and bulbs which would have formed part of the churchyard area. They also plan to run some events in the churchyard for the local wildlife watch group on making bat boxes, learning about the churchyard and using bat detectors. They also plan to use the NBS award to create a pilot scheme of ‘explorer kits’ to encourage visiting children to engage with their heritage surroundings and for heritage awareness training.
