Lydbury North Footpath Heritage Group
Location: Shropshire

This community based project aims to map out a series of 11 circular heritage walks in the parish of Lydbury North and produce a colourful 36 page booklet detailing these walks for local people living in the area.

The walks booklets will include information on both the natural and archaeological heritage of Lydbury North. Maps, photographs and illustrations of the area’s heritage sites and features will be gathered from people living within the Parish. They will also be consulting with the County Archaeologist and an ecologist to ensure that they encapsulate all relevant material.

The group will also be holding a launch event and a series of ‘Walk and Talk’ events, when trained walk leaders will take groups along the routes. The council will also be working with the group to improve the access along these walks.
