Shrawardine Local Heritage Project
Location: Shropshire

This project was based on Montford Parish Millennium Green.

The remains of a derelict castle are on the Green.

The group carried out a topographical and photographic survey of the castle. The results of this survey were released on 1 September 2001.

The project researched the heritage of the village. From this research, the group produced a video, a guide book, a newsletter and a CDRom.

The group have held walks and a pageant in conjunction with the Civil War Society. who's members re-enacted the storming of the castle in 1645.

A service has been held to commemorate the US servicemen who were killed when their Liberator aircraft crashed near the village during World War II.
