At a committee meeting in December the entries were viewed and the winning and runners-up designs chosen. The winning entry was designed by JESS AUSTIN:

and the runner-up was LINDSAY WILSON: 
Both winners are pupils at Newport's Burton Borough School.
On Friday 13 January 2006, Mark Pritchard MP presented both pupils with their prizes in Newport's Guildhall.
