Geological Display at Parkridge Centre, Brueton Park
Location: Warwickshire

The project has been accepted and the first advance of funding has been allocated to the project.

The group will erect a series of interpretation boards around Parkridge Nature Centre. This is a Warwickshire Wildlife Trust owned site that includes a visitor centre.

The boards will feature the geology of the site and the wider County by describing the rocks of Warwickshire and explain how and when they were formed. They boards will also explain how the geology has shaped the present landscape and how it has affected the built environment and the economic and social history of the county. Eventually they will be used by the centre as part of their environmental education programme, and by Warwick Lifelong Learning Classes.

Designs for the boards are currently underway.

The group are planning to work with an LHI production advisor to add a comprehensive entry to the LHI website.
