People and Place: the Historic Mapping of the Mid-Clent Hundred
Location: Worcestershire
The Hagley Historical and Field Society is a group based in north Worcestershire, which borders Birmingham. The group has been in existence for forty years and holds regular local meetings. For this project, the group members will work with the County Archaeological unit to digitise four tithe maps and publish them on the internet and a CD. By giving users remote access to these publications, local schools and groups will be able to gain access to maps and information which would otherwise only be available in the local library. It is planned that the maps will be used in conjunction with aerial photographs.
