Our new book
Location: Barnsley

Our new book, ‘Memories of Royston’ is now available. The book contains a particularly interesting section which looks back on the days in the middle of the nineteenth century, when you could buy almost anything in Royston. It also gives a rare insight into life at Yardley's mansion, where Norman Yardley the cricketer was brought up and many other tales and reminiscences of life in Royston through the twentieth century.
The launch on Friday October 10 was a huge success. Andy Kershaw from Radio Sheffield, Bill Newman Mayor of Barnsley and Trish Land from the WEA launched the book.

The book is available from the Royston and Carlton Community Partnership or Royston Library. The price is £10 + £1.50 pp.
