An original worsted spinning mill complex built in 1875, now used to recreate life in Bradford at the turn of the 19th century. Mill stables complete with shire horses, horse bus/tram rides, daily demonstrations, and mill owner's house, back to back cottages and shop.

Steam days are held on a Wednesday from 10.00 - 16.30. Normally machinery is operated at regular intervals.

Opening hours:
Tuesday - Saturday 10.00 - 17.00
Sunday 12.00 - 17.00.
Closed Mondays (except Bank Holidays), Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Local archives of all kinds, dating from the twelfth century to the present day. The search room contains lists and indexes which visiting members of the public can consult, and where staff will be happy to give help and advice on available documents. The Service maintains a computer data base designed to provide a unified index of archive collections held by the service which can be searched via the world wide web and in Archive Service offices.

Opening hours (visits by appointment only):
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 09.30 – 13.00, 14.00 – 17.00
Evening opening on alternate Thursdays 17.00 – 20.00.

The Pennine and Yorkshire Studies Unit, set up in 2002, is part of the School of Lifelong Education and Development, University of Bradford.
