Local History Exhibition
On April 6 the group held its first community exhibition. Individual members had their own stalls and the COMMA digital archive was projected onto a big screen.
There was also a showing of old cine film which proved to be the main attraction. The film created by the late Mr Gilbert Higson a local headmaster, was of village events in the 1960s and 70s.
The group has recently had the old cine 8 film transferred to video and this, projected onto a large screen, proved to be very popular with the visitors.
The group counted the evening as a major success with well in excess of sixty visitors.
