First Stages of the Project
After getting the grant, the first task was to buy the equipment to get the project underway. Having bought a laptop computer, printer, digital camera and display boards we were up and running.
The start of putting this equipment to good use was to hold a week long exhibition in the local Library, July 2004. The first day being manned by group members armed with leaflets, “A Short Guide to an Historical Village”, produced from the available funds.
These leaflets were also used as a quick guide to aid the public on the first of the two historical walks of the village. The walk guide Mr Edgar Pickles giving a fuller account of all the relevant history as the walk progressed.
Stage Two
With the two village walks over it is all hands to the pump to gather, collate and write up the various chapters of the book. This process is well under way with some chapters completed and others well on the way to completion. Finished chapters will be given to the printer possibly as and when completed, to aid getting the printed book out on time.
