Location: North East Lincolnshire

Mystery Wreck
For some time we have puzzled over the identity of a steel wreck with remains of FOUR masts, no boiler, no engine, no propellor, no shaft, but ample signs of extensive rigging. It lies from West to East, some 10 to 15 nautical miles from Spurn point, in 17 metres depth at low water. It is thought by the Admiralty for some reason to be a steam trawler, many of which sadly litter the Humber Approaches. They are victims of foul weather, powerful tides and 2 World Wars. This is NOT a steam trawler so WHAT IS SHE? Clearly the Admiralty do not know.
