Community Archaeology Display at the Nidderdale Museum

The group, with 2 others, is currently showing examples of its work at the summer exhibition at the Nidderdale Museum, which is concentrating on Community Archaeology this year.

This fascinating and friendly museum is housed in a former workhouse and is situated opposite St Cuthbert's Parish Church in King Street, Pateley Bridge. Its 11 rooms illustrate the rural life of Nidderdale in the recent and more distant past, and show how ordinary people lived, with sections devoted to Agriculture, Industries, Religion, Transport and Costume.

The summer display gives a very good idea of what we do and is well worth a visit. If you're in the area, why not go along to the museum in Pateley Bridge? Alternatively, its web site is here.
