Linton's Parish Church: a nine century story of craftmanship, care and faith
Location: North Yorkshire

This project aims to increase the local community and tourist understanding and enjoyment of St Michael and All Angels Church and the surrounding area.

Linton is a village in the east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The project will involve the local community researching and designing interpretation panels, a leaflet and small booklet on the history of the church.

The group will work with the two teachers from the school to design an educational resource. They will also create a small heritage trail encompassing the church, almshouses, chapel and grammar school.

Two photography workshops will be run (one with children and one with adults) and the photographs used in the designs for the interpretation material. This will include working with a digital camera to document the project on the LHI website.
