Ure River Research Project
Location: North Yorkshire

This project will carry out an investigation into the historic structures along the riverside between Masham and West Tanfield (8 mile stretch) including carrying out a geophysical survey of the site of an old mill and working with an holistic buildings expert to survey the mills, bridges, fords and weirs that form the riverside structures today.

The NBS wlkl fund the development of an educational pack. The project will produce an heritage trail along the riverside with a guide leaflet, a website, database, CD Rom record of the research made available to local archives, guided walks and talks in the village hall open to the community.
